UC Bantam is now in the 15th year of helping the local high school basketball programs with their fund raising efforts while providing young players the opportunity to play competitive basketball with other players from thier area and compete against well matched competition.
UC Bantam has well exceeded the 4 million dollar mark in funds raised for programs since 2008-2009.
Utah County Boys Bantam Basketball is a competitive youth basketball league created and directed by the high school basketball head coaches in Utah County. The league is run under the rules and regulations of the UC Bantam Office, it's administration and of the AAU National office where applicable. Each player and coach involved in the league must be a member of the AAU.
- The UC Bantam Basketball League is open to Boys and Girls Teams 4th grade through 8th grade teams.
- 7th and 8th grade A and B league teams from the respective school areas will be designated under the direction of the local high school basketball coaching staff, an area Bantam director (appointed by the HS staff or UC Bantam) or by UC Bantam. Each school area will have one A league (unless expressly dictated by HS coach to have 2). There are no limits to the number of B league teams. Girls or boys teams that do not have tryouts in their area are open to any division, but must be approved for A league play.
- 4th, 5th and 6th grade teams are open to register and will be divided based on competitive balance into 3 divisions, the players should all live in an area to attend the same high school to protect against "all-star" or "super" teams and provide competitive balance to the league.
- UC Bantam Accepts only TEAM registrations and NO individual registrations.
Important Note:
- UC Bantam, the high school coaches, and the respective area schools are not obliged in any way to provide practice time or facilities for UC Bantam teams.
- Players are not guaranteed to have or be found a team to participate on.
