Bantam Tryouts
**ALL TRYOUTS AT LEHI JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL**
5 th Grade - 5:00PM - 6:30PM Wednesday October 26th
6 th Grade - 6:30PM - 8:00PM Tuesday October 25th
7 th Grade - 5:00PM - 6:30PM Tuesday October 25th
8 th Grade - 6:30 - 8:00PM Wednesday October 26th

- There are no tryouts for 3rd and 4th grade teams. All bantam
teams for 3rd and 4th grades are parent formed teams.
Cost $75 for camp (tryout is free)
Camp Includes: Skyridge coaches instruction, basketball fundamentals,
games, shooting clinic, contests, prizes, and fun for players at all
basketball skill levels.

Skyridge BOYS BANTAM PROGRAM INFORMATION
What is the bantam program?
The bantam program is our official Skyridge Basketball feeder program. We
play in the Utah County Bantam League (www.ucbantam.com) which plays
Monday, Wednesday and/or Saturday starting the end of November through
the end of February. Individual teams will have the options of playing in
additional leagues/tournaments. We will play 1-2 games a week and will have
1-2 practices a week.
What ages play in the Skyridge Bantam?
Our official bantam program is from 5 th - 8 th grades. Teams in the 3rd and 4th
grade ages can play in the bantam league but they will be parent formed
teams. The Skyridge coaching staff will not select these teams or be involved
in coordinating tryouts or practices.
How are teams selected?
The Skyridge coaching staff will run the tryouts and will select the teams for
5th-8th grades.
How many teams will be selected?
That will vary depending on the kids in each grade. Normally we select one or
two A teams and two or three B teams in each grade.
How are the coaches selected?
Once the teams are selected, the Skyridge coaches will select a coach for
each team based on the kids that were selected on the team.

Kenneth Roberts will be choosing the coaches. You can email him as well
(ken_rpt@hotmail.com) and let him know that you are willing to coach. This
link is for all grades.
If you are interested in coaching a 3rd-4th grade team and need help finding
players we can help.
What is the cost?
The player will be responsible to pay his portion of the league fees (Approx
$100), practice gym rental fee (Approx. $50) and the cost for his uniform
(Approx $50).
Can I buy other Skyridge Basketball items?
This fall we will have a spirit pack that the players can purchase that includes
shirts, sweats, etc.
